Purpose of the role:
As Head of Social, you will be responsible for the social strategy across Stonegate Group, shaping and executing a compelling social media vision that builds brand affinity, supports business objectives, and engages guests across all social platforms.
You will lead our influencer and creator strategy, agency relationships, and social performance reporting, managing a team of two Social Media Managers. Your goal is to ensure our brands show up in the right place, with the right tone, to drive measurable engagement, site visits and bookings. The role will have a laser focus on driving footfall into site and ensuring there is relevancy with key target audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and evolve the social media strategy for all formats and platforms (Meta, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, etc.).
- Work with marketing team to define goals, tone, and KPIs by brand and channel – ensuring alignment with overall marketing and commercial objectives/functions.
- Lead social innovation – staying ahead of platform trends and identifying opportunities to test new formats, partners or features.
- Manage and mentor Social Media Managers.
- Set priorities, oversee content plans, and ensure consistent execution across teams.
- Lead development and execution of our influencer and creator programmes.
- Ensure activity delivers reach, engagement, and ROI – aligned to campaign and brand objectives.
- Work with Brand and Digital teams to ensure content is high-impact, brand-aligned and timely.
- Support big calendar moments with integrated social campaigns and always-on planning.
- Develop social playbooks, tone of voice guides, and escalation procedures.
- Manage platform and community risk with clear guidelines and processes.
- Lead regular performance reporting across teams and brands.
- Analyse results, share learnings, and continuously optimise strategy and content.
- Ownership and management of the social media and influencer budget.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in a social media role across multiple brands or formats.
- Proven track record in building and leading high-performing social media teams.
- Strong understanding of social platforms, analytics, and emerging digital behaviours.
- Experience managing influencer marketing and creative agencies.
- Experience using social media to drive measurable brand engagement and revenue.
- Excellent copywriting, content planning and editorial judgement.
